(DATCCU) has officially opened its new branch in Akim Oda, bringing quality and reliable financial services closer to residents, traders, businesses and the wider community The opening, held on **27 August 2026**, followed a community awareness float through the principal streets of Akim Oda, where the DATCCU team engaged residents and introduced them to the Union’s products and membership benefits. The official ceremony brought together DATCCU management, traditional leaders, security agencies, community representatives and other stakeholders. The new branch is expected to strengthen DATCCU’s presence in the area while providing accessible financial services and supporting local businesses and traders. DATCCU Celebrates 50th Anniversary and Holds 2024 AGM The Dunkwa Area Teachers’ Co-operative Credit Union (DATCCU) celebrated its 50th Anniversary alongside its 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM), marking five decades of financial empowerment, cooperation, and community development. The celebration brought together members, management, staff, stakeholders, and distinguished guests to reflect on the Union’s achievements and discuss its future direction. Highlights included a colourful procession, an anniversary cake-cutting ceremony, and the recognition of outstanding staff members for their dedication and contributions to the Union’s growth. As DATCCU looks to the future, it remains committed to strengthening member services, promoting financial inclusion, and building on its legacy of trust, unity, and cooperative success.

Dunkwa Area Teachers Co-operative Credit Union was established on 14th October, 1975. The credit union has over 5,000 members since it's inception with a HUGE asset base of over Gh¢75,000,000.00.
